pretty good.

I Really like the synths you used but the drums were kind of lacking. I wish you would have passed it through some equalization at parts. IE low/high band pass filters. Usually drum and bass tends to be heavier but you did pretty good without overload on the synths. You have some potential and i might look at some more of your work later.

Thanks for the review mate, and I will take your tips, and use them! =D

beautiful

I'm not sure why you put my neighbor totoro in there, (was there a game?) BUt i almost cried anyway. Any songs in the movies made by the guy who made totoro reminds me of my childhood and that was an emotional song for me. I liked the brawl waiting room alot slowed down. At 5:37 when you added a the lower piano notes i didn't really like it as much though, it didn't really fit. The mushroom way didn't really sound right though since it was kind of hard to distinguish the notes.

awesome

Alot of the instruments feel familiar. I use the guitar 4 synth in sytrus all the time and i really liked what you did with it. It had a nice build up and It had a nice beat. I liked the drum kit you used too.

Vloklor responds:

Thanks for the review. Electric 4, amyleigh were some of what I used if you are curious.

Sweet!

I saw the name on the audio portal front page and thought to myself "oh great another attempt at punk" after i clicked it and saw your username i instantly realized how epic this song was going to be. I've been waiting for you to make another vg cover and it was just great to come upon it on accident. I really like the drums in this one.

Haha dude I can guarantee that any punk covers you see on here will be us. And I've wanted to do this one for a while, it's my favorite Mario theme. Thanks for the support! Peace bro. =P

meh

It sounded great until the part where you screamed TROGDOR!!!! There were two voices, the high one was what i wanted to hear but the lower one kind of took away from the high one. it was pretty good besides the lower voice.

meh.

I don't really like it when people use premade loops in music but you did some original stuff around it. That one loop is from the toxic biohazard, its like the scientist or inventor or something like that. The drum loop is pretty good. This is pretty somber for trance, the only somber trance i can think of is goa trance which is still more upbeat then this. It really just repeats itself and only adds one instrument the whole time.

DjOpposite responds:

Yeah, okay, well I appreciate your honesty anyways :)
Thanks for the review :)

awesome

Why wouldn't this be welcome on newgrounds? This is great. It's not something you would expect to work well in 8 bit. The only problem was that the drum was really loud compared to the leads.

not bad

You did pretty good for what you used. I heard alot of fl studios stuff from the hip-hop pack folder. I want to see what you could do with some better samples and a good lead.

K-DUB777 responds:

thanks yo

Awesome

I really like the guitar riff and the really fast drums. Right at the beginning the lyrics are kind of soft, it's a little hard to hear over the guitar but that's hardly a problem. I kind of wish it was longer but for what you have, 10/10

giftedbuttwisted responds:

Thanks! Yeah this song isn't our best, I'm gonna be uploading a new one tonight and it's aweswome!

not bad.

I liked it but it would have been better with a change in the effects on the vocals. What i really wanted was at 32 seconds for the voice effects to be removed so it would be the normal voice along with the refrain. also the volume on the vocals should have been higher, especially during the refrain. The guitar was cool. it sounded a little bit like slayer but it sounded good still.
